Get Your Money Back: Inflation Rebates for October – December 2023

Part B inflation rebates October 2023 to December 2023

The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 makes sure that Big Pharma is not taking advantage of you. Well, at least not as much as usual.

Pharmaceutical companies are not allowed to increase the price of their drugs faster than the rate of inflation. Starting on January 1, 2023, the federal government started to track Part B drug prices quarterly (every 3 months). Any overcharges that happen during the quarter will need to be paid back to Medicare. You will see the benefit as an inflation rebate the NEXT quarter.

The money does not go to you directly. Instead, your 20% Part B coinsurance will be decreased by the appropriate amount. For example, from October to December, you will only pay a coinsurance of 13.158% if you take Fragmin.
